New Field Projects were initiated in 2009.   Current field work seeks to validate additional oil production from stripper wells by injecting low volume slugs of a specially prepared MEOR treatment fluid.   Confirmation of incremental oil production will offer stripper well producers a viable microbial technology for increasing oil production revenue.   RAM's overarching goal is to develop a practical, easy to use, and cost effective Microbial EOR technology capable of producing substantial volumes of stranded oil from stripper wells and enhanced waterfloods with minimal environmental impact.   Preliminary results are promising.

RAM Biochemicals offers oil producers cost effective and proven Microbial EOR technology to increase oil production and profits.

MEOR / MIOR is proven to produce incremental oil.   Arrest production declines, decrease oil / water cut, and gain significant increases in oil production from single wells and entire oil fields.  RAM Biochemicals' Wel-Prep™ Oil Recovery Fluid was first manufactured in 1988 and proved commercially viable with oil above $20/barrel.   Independent producers and oil field service companies found Wel-Prep to be a stable, easy to use, environmentally friendly treatment fluid.   Incremental oil production in single wells demonstrated net positive payout vs. treatment cost.

Multiple tax advantages  at the local, state and Federal level may be applicable to qualified enhanced recovery projects.  This creates additional incentives for independent and major oil producers to consider a lease management approach the incluses proven Microbial EOR products and technologies.

Following in the footsteps of the early pioneers in Microbial Enhanced Oil Recovery, RAM Biochemicals established a new benchmark in MEOR / MIOR.

From 1987 until 1992 RAM's treatment process enabled oil producers in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Tennessee, and Illinois to increase their wells' production.


New Field Project Results show incremental oil production.   RAM's proprietary process technology converts non-hazardous beverage, brewing and baking industry waste into commercially viable products.  Wel-Prep Oil Recovery Fluid™ was developed in 1986 to provide a low cost environmentally responsible solution to failing marginal well production. Cyclic injections   known as the "Bio Huff & Puff" treatment method produce demonstrable results in single well treatments.  Field flooding of mature oil fields and treatments applied when reopening previously shut-in wells are practical applications for RAM's MEOR/MIOR technology.
RAM Biochemicals Began Treating Oil Wells in 1986.   The company was active through 1996, but protracted low oil prices (1992-2006) forced it into dormancy.  Global economic conditions combined with a proven history of incremental oil production brought RAM out of dormancy.   In 2008, RAM was awarded a DOE/SWC grant to validate its MEOR technology. Preliminary results point to successful field trials that will present significant opportunities for stripper well producers when positively validated. MEOR technologies capable of lowering oil/water cuts, addressing near wellbore problems, arresting decline curves, and substantially increasing marginal well production merit serious consideration.
