H. H. Wulfemeyer #B-1

 

 

American Warrior's H.H. Wulfemeyer #B-1 well produces from the Larrabee North Field located in South Central Kansas.  Oil production is from the Chester Sandstone Formation at 6,300 feet.  This formation is part of the much larger Mississippian System.  Casinghead gas production is used to power the pump jack.  Gas pressure is approximately 80 psi.

 

American Warrior designed and fabricated a 6 gallon bypass knockout pot which will serve both for barrel testing and allow treatment fluids to be introduced into the well annulus without depressurizing the formation and loss of gas.  This well has slight paraffin problems, but not severe enough to require regular hot oil treatments.  

 

Barrel testing will be done prior to the initial treatment to gather baseline production data.   A combination of barrel testing and stock tank gauging will be used to record any changes in oil / water production.

    Initial Treatment - Near Wellbore Clean-up: [10/23/2009]

  • Pump off well bore fluids / equalize casinghead gas pressure
  • Inject 10 gallons of diesel or condensate into the well annulus
  • Dose by injecting 50 gallons Wel-Prep into the well annulus
  • Flush with 1/2 barrel of lease fluids (condensate or produced brine)
  • Circulate wellbore fluids for 1 hour
  • Shut in for a 24 hour soak
  • Circulate well bore fluids for 1 day
  • Turn back into production
  • Produce the well and gauge total fluid production for 30 days.
  • Note and record any general observations or suggestions about how this treatment method might be improved or modified.    
    Second Treatment - Near Wellbore Clean-up: [01/17/2010]

  • Pump off well bore fluids / equalize casinghead gas pressure
  • Inject 10 gallons of diesel or condensate into the well annulus
  • Dose by injecting 25 gallons Wel-Prep into the well annulus
  • Flush with 1/2 barrel of lease fluids (condensate or produced brine)
  • Circulate wellbore fluids for 1 hour
  • Shut in for a 24 hour soak
  • Circulate well bore fluids for 1 or more days
  • Turn back into production
  • Produce the well and gauge total fluid production for 30 days
  • Note and record any general observations or suggestions about how this treatment method might be improved or modified.    
  • Third treatment - Critical Matrix Stimulation:
  • Pump off well bore fluids / equalize casinghead gas pressure
  • Inject 10 gallons of diesel or condensate into the well annulus
  • Dose by injecting 25 gallons Wel-Prep into the well annulus
  • Flush with 1/2 barrel of lease fluids (condensate or produced brine)
  • Circulate wellbore fluids for 1 hour
  • Shut in for a 24 hour soak
  • Circulate well bore fluids for 1 or more days
  • Turn back into production
  • Produce the well and gauge total fluid production for 30 days
  • Note and record any general observations or suggestions about how this treatment method might be improved or modified.    
  • NOTE: Flush production typically recovers oil used to create head pressure and oil 'lost' during shut-in.
