Art Karst Lease

Pre-treatment Production

The Art Karst Lease is a 1 well lease producing from the Arbuckle Group of Galatia South Field, Barton County, Kansas.  A cyclic injection method using off-road diesel will be used.  Oil and water production will be monitored and evaluated for 30 days following the initial treatment to determine its effect and provide guidance for any adjustments to the recommended treatment regimen for follow-on maintenance treatments.

INITIAL TREATMENT - Cyclic Injection - [4/14/2010]

  • Pump off well bore fluids
  • Inject 25 gallons of diesel into the well annulus
  • Dose by injecting 50 gallons microbial EOR fluid into the well annulus [4/14/2010]
  • Follow by injecting 25 gallons of diesel
  • Shut in for 2 to 3 days
  • Turn back into production [4/17/2010]
  • Produce the well and gauge total fluid production for 30 days
  • Note any observations on the daily reports that deviate from the normal production patterns for this well
  •

    SECOND TREATMENT - Cyclic Injection - [6/02/2010]

NOTE: Treatment regimen may be modified pending results of the initial treatment.

  • Pump off well bore fluids
  • Inject 25 gallons of diesel into the well annulus
  • Inject 50 gallons microbial EOR fluid into the well annulus [6/02/2010]
  • Follow by injecting 25 gallons of diesel
  • Shut in for 2 to 3 days
  • Turn back into production [6/04/2010]
  • Produce the well and gauge total fluid production for 30 days
  • Note any observations on the daily reports that deviate from the normal production patterns for this well
  • THIRD TREATMENT

The third Art Karst treatment will be determined after the results of the second treatment have been analyzed.

    SINGLE WELL CONTROL TREATMENTS

Control treatments are an important component of this field project.  They will help establish baseline data to differentiate between the treating methodology alone without MEOR treatment fluid and treatments made with MEOR treatment fluid.  Control treatments will be conducted only on selected single wells.  Control treatments will not be conducted on enhanced waterflood projects.

Control treatments should be conducted approximately one (1) month before actual MEOR treatments begin to enable 20 to 30 days of post-production data to be gathered before the actual MEOR treatments begin.
